Volvo s60 concept

Volvo, the car company that invented and saved thousands of lives with its car seat belts, has come up with yet another safety system. This time its safety for you, walking on the streets rather than in the car itself.

The new Volvo S60 offers a new pedestrian alert system to further reduce unwanted accidents on the road which is caused by a moment of carelessness or unexpected movement. The Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake feature is capable of detecting pedestrians in front of the vehicle, applying the brakes automatically if the driver does not react fast enough. However, this system is only designed with effectiveness at speeds of 20 mph or 30 kmph!
