The World’s First Production Hybrid Motorcycle is made and will be launched soon in India. Hybrid vehicles combine the works of a smaller petrol engine and an electric motor. They use each other appropriately at different speeds. The result? 112 Kilometers per litre with a top speed of 60 kmph or 40 mph.
Eko Vehicles, a manufacturer based in Bangalore, developed the vehicle with assistance from U.S.-based Emerging Technologies. The ET-120 uses a 70cc gasoline-powered engine mated up with a small electric motor, and the company claims the machine will offer performance on par with a typical 120cc powerplant.
All this for INR 40,000! a little less than $900. I just wish it could have been made to look a lot better!
