Panasonic Safer Lithium Batteries
Panasonic’s new Lithium Ion batteries will be long lasting and safer than existing Lithium batteries.
No longer a secret, Panasonic is said to have used nickel instead of carbon for the positive terminal in each cell. The previous record at Panasonic for type cells were 2.9 amp hours, and a quick search shows that most are in the 2.2 amp range. Panasonic claims that the new batteries will be nearly 30% better than older batteries and can hold up to 4.0 amps of power.
